
Hello and welcome to The Thoughtful Spoon! I’m so glad that you’re here.
To kick things off I wanted to share a bit more about myself and why I decided to create this space.
Earlier this past year, I found myself feeling a bit unfulfilled. While I have an incredible job, amazing family and friends, and what feels like ample opportunities – something was missing.
I decided to take the summer to sit and reflect on what it is I’m most passionate about and figure out how I could channel this into something great.
After listening to podcast after podcast, meditating, and doing some deep soul-searching, it started to become more clear. My biggest passions are centered around living a healthy but balanced lifestyle. From eating whole, clean foods to exercising, practicing mindfulness, and helping others, these are the things that make me feel most whole.
Once I identified these elements, I started to research how I could turn them into a passion project. With a strong interest in nutrition, in particular, I decided to pursue my certification as a health coach.
If you’re not familiar with what a health coach is, it’s someone who specializes in wellness practices; a mentor who can help others to make healthier lifestyle choices through individual nutrition and behavioral adjustments.
So why The Thoughtful Spoon? As my training program is just beginning, I look forward to utilizing this space to share what I’m learning along the way. Healthy tidbits, recipes, workout plans, daily wins and struggles, nothing will be off limits.
It’s my belief that everyone should have the resources to live a healthy and balanced life and that’s exactly what I’m hoping to share here.
