Whether you’re dishing out to the whole neighborhood, hosting a Halloween gathering, or just enjoy sneaking a few treats at your desk, these goodies will help keep your Halloween a little bit healthier this year. No trickin’!
Dried Fruit
These perfectly portioned pouches are a great alternative to your classic Halloween variety chocolates. Boasting all the benefits of fresh fruit, dried fruit is high in anti-oxidants, fiber, and vitamins. As with any packaged foods, be sure to always read your ingredient labels as many dried fruit brands may include added sugar or preservatives. Also, stick to portions! Since dried fruit is much smaller than its fresh form, it can be super easy to over indulge on this sweet treat.
Vegetable Chips
Terra chips are one of my personal favorites. Made with real, root vegetables, from the less traditional parsnips, taro and yuca to more well-known beets, carrots and sweet potatoes, each bag is packed with fiber and flavor. Pair with Trader Joe’s Spinach and Kale Greek Yogurt dip or enjoy solo, either way these are a guiltless snack!
Popcorn
Did you know popcorn is a whole grain? In its natural, air-popped state, it’s also a low-fat, low-cal, high-fiber snack. This is another one of those foods though, where you need to be cautious of ingredient labels when buying pre-packaged, especially microwavable options. Instead stick with brands like Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop, Skinny Pop, or Bjorn Qorn.

Fruit Strips
These organic fruit strips are the new and improved Fruit by the Foot of our childhood days. Although in our household Tim would much prefer a pack of fruit snacks, even the organic varieties generally still include tapioca syrup and cane sugar. With no added sugar or artificial additives, these strips are a much better option and the perfect sweet treat for your little ghouls and goblins.
HU Kitchen Chocolate
I couldn’t not include just one chocolatey thing on this list and if you’ve noticed a theme of this site so far, it’s all about the ingredients. As a self-declared chocoholic, HU is hands down one of my top favorites and one of the ‘cleanest’ options out there. To read more on their story and products visit their website here!
